All rifles are built from the ground up with the care and attention to detail you, as the customer, deserve. What sets my rifles apart is that they are built using a true High Precision Tool Room Lathe that is belt driven. A Southbend Heavy 10. What sets these lathes apart is they use a flat belt and not gears to turn the part. This gives a much higher quality finish both on the barrel and in the chamber than a gear driven lathe as gears send vibrations into the part. Also, I use High Speed Steel cutters to make my cuts, not Carbide inserts. Carbide requires the part to be turned above 700 RPMs and cuts of .015 to .030 deep to work properly and does not leave as nice of a finish as High Speed Steel. High Speed Steel cutters turn the part 300 to 400 RPMs and can make cuts as shallow as .0005. High Speed Steel cutters also leave superior finishes on Stainless Steel.
Nothing I do at Wolf Precision is production! On average, chambering a rifle can take 8 to 10 hours. The difference between production and precision is time, slowing things down and making more exact cuts and precise measurements. I take pride in quality craftsmanship and it shows in the accuracy of the finished rifle.
Wolf Precision's B.T.A. (Bat Tactical Action)
Coming in spring of 2012 is the first ever Bat Tactical Action - World renowned for their legendary accuracy and smoothness. A proprietary design that combines toughness, reliability and the ultimate in accuracy in a Tactical or Long Range Hunting action. It is a drop in action for any stock inletted for the Remington 700 including the AICS Chassis and the new AICS AX series, no inletting required. Features will include a welded bolt handle, fluted bolt body, side stop bolt release, integral 20MAO Picatinny rail and recoil lug. Available solely through Wolf Precision either as a complete build or action only. If you want the best, than look no further than the new Wolf Precision BTA. We have 30 inbound with the first ten expected in May.

The PT-1 is our best effort to create a working rifle that has the new shooter in mind. This rifle has key components that any real working rifle should have to allow the shooter to run the rifle to it's fullest abilities and fit the shooter properly. Built on your supplied Remington 700 SPS Varmint or SPS Tactical. We will place it in an Accuracy International 1.5 stock with both an adjustable cheekpiece and adjustable Length of Pull, in color of choice and one 5 round mag. We will Lap the lugs and cut an M40A1 style match crown. We have had great success with this rifle for new shooters and it lays the groundwork for when the shooter is ready to go full custom.

The PT-2 or "Practical Tactical 2" is designed around the shooter who wants to learn the art of long range shooting and reading the wind, yet still have a rifle they can go and compete with whether your sport is F/T-R or Tactical Competitions. Chambered in .223 match and throated to load the longer 75 and 80 grain bullets to the new A.I. mag (which is 2.50 inches) it enables you to get the bullet out of the case further and stop crushing powder and hogging the powder room the .223 has to offer. This enables you to run efficiently the High BC .223 bullets that match and sometimes even beat the .308 to a 1000 yards in both elevation and wind while doing so with half the powder, half the recoil and more importantly half the cost enabling you to spend more time behind the trigger where it matters. This rifle will make you a better shooter and wind caller - it is my pesonal favorite. And did I mention barrel life?
